According to Gartner “Cyber-physical systems protection platforms that discover and protect assets in production or mission-critical environments are emerging as a leading market category.”
Gartner has released their inaugural Cyber-physical Systems (CPS) Protection Platforms Market Guide, in which Xage Security is recognized as a Representative Vendor. Gartner states that: “As the complexity and variety of old and new assets have become a reality for most organizations, so has the recognition that a new approach to security is needed. Organizations are recognizing that OT is only one flavor of CPS they now have to contend with, along with IoT, IIoT, smart buildings or even medical device technologies that connect the cyber and physical worlds.”
Gartner recommends that organizations evolve from OT network-centric security to CPS asset-centric security (as illustrated in the figure below) and that CPS protection platforms allow security and risk management leaders and their teams to uncover a wide range of security concerns.
